Terms of Service
Last updated October 27, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and StormSnap for use of the StormSnap website, web app, and mobile apps. By creating an account or using StormSnap you agree to them. If you use StormSnap for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
1. Your account
Keep your login details private and tell us right away at support@stormsnap.app if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your account information accurate.
2. Plans, free trials, and billing
• Paid plans are sold on stormsnap.app and billed monthly in U.S. dollars through Stripe. Current prices are listed at stormsnap.app/pricing.
• New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts and your card is charged automatically.
• Plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. You authorize us to charge your payment method for each renewal, plus any applicable taxes.
• You can cancel anytime from Account > Plan & billing. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Fees already paid are non-refundable, except where required by law. If something went wrong with a charge, contact us within 30 days and we will make it right.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days notice by email. The new price applies at your next renewal after the notice period.
• If a payment fails, we will retry and email you. Your saved reports stay readable, but submitting new reports may be paused until the payment is updated.
3. Your content
You own the inspection data, photos, signatures, and reports you put into StormSnap ("your content"). You give StormSnap permission to host, process, and display your content only as needed to run the service for you and the people you share it with. You are responsible for having the right to upload your content, including photos of sites and people.
4. Professional responsibility
StormSnap is a documentation and reporting tool. It does not replace a qualified inspector, engineer, or legal advisor, and it does not guarantee compliance with any stormwater permit, SWPPP, or federal, state, or local regulation. You are responsible for the accuracy of your inspections, the conclusions in your reports, and meeting the requirements of your permits.
5. Acceptable use
• Do not use StormSnap to submit false or misleading inspection records.
• Do not try to access accounts or data you are not authorized to see, or probe, disrupt, or overload the service.
• Do not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put other users or the service at risk.
6. Service availability and changes
We work to keep StormSnap available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change, or remove features. If we discontinue a paid feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your reports.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, StormSnap is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for fines, penalties, or lost profits arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using StormSnap and delete your account at any time at stormsnap.app/account/delete. We may end these terms if you materially breach them. Sections about your content, professional responsibility, limitation of liability, and payment of fees owed survive termination.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use StormSnap after that means you accept the updated terms.
